As your Birth Doula, I will make sure you’re aware of the labor & birth choices available, create space so you can make decisions without feeling pressured, and help ensure that medical providers practice informed consent and respect your decisions. I never speak on your behalf or impose my own values, I make sure that your voice is being heard. Having a Birth Doula in your corner ensures that there is at least one birth professional in the room who works just for you, knows your family’s unique hopes and goals, and is devoted entirely to protecting and improving your experience.

Birth Support Service Details

Free Consultation 

This is a cost free visit and it’s an opportunity for both of us to get to know each other, so that you feel confident in choosing me as your Birthing Coach(Doula).

2 Prenatal Visits 

After making your decision, we will have prenatal home visits in which we will discuss your values, needs, concerns, and suggested tools for coping during labor, as well as practice preparing your body for labor. One session may be virtual, where we can discuss the logistics of your labor and birth, allowing us to create your personalized birth plan together. With the comprehensive package, I include preparing your birth partner for supporting mama through labor. 

Informational Support

I offer educational support including childbirth education classes and free shared resources during pregnancy to help you best prepare for birth, as well as teach you comfort measures for labor.

Childbirth Education Series:

An engaging series that will boost your knowledge and confidence in pregnancy, labor and birth, breastfeeding basics, postpartum preparation, and newborn care. Prepare yourself and your partner for the changes of pregnancy, birth and beyond. 

Pilates Fitness

A unique offering for birth preparedness. Labor is a major physical event, I help you prepare your body for this physical feat through pilates classes focusing on strengthening and relaxing the pelvic floor for labor, proper core muscle activation to support your changing body, and exercises for overall comfort. Included in the Comprehensive Package is a personalized postpartum pilates fitness guide, including c-section & diastasis recti, to help you recover and feel strong and confident in your postpartum body.

24 hour Phone & Email Support 

Starting your 37th week of pregnancy, you will have unlimited phone and email support during pregnancy and up to two months postpartum.

During Labor 

During labor I advocate for you, help your partner find their place in your/their desired role of support for mama, facilitate the communication with the medical staff, and provide constant emotional and physical support, so that your birth can be empowering, respectful of your culture, and always remembered as a loving and incredible experience.

Baby’s first Feeding Support 

As soon as your baby is born, I will assist you in the immediate postpartum and help you with the initial breastfeeding as required. 

Postpartum Visits 

I will visit you in the postpartum period to follow up with you and your family. I will share support resources, provide newborn care support, discuss your birth story, share my appreciation of your strengths in labor, and share some kind of treat or gift with the family! Virtual or in-person appointment options.  

Community Referrals

If you need more care from specific services I will have referrals for local resources in your community. 

Payments/ Payment Schedule

The first payment(half the cost of total services), is due immediately upon agreement of services(before 1st prenatal visit). The second half of the payment is due at 36 weeks or last prenatal visit(whichever comes first).
