I am a W2 Research Group Leader (similar to a non-tenure-track associate professor) at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MPI MiS) leading an independent research group on the Analysis of discrete sets arising from geometry.
From January-September 2023 I was a third party funded Walter Benjamin Postdoc at the MPI MiS.
From 2021-2022 I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Emmy Noether Group at the University of Osnabrück hosted by the MPI MiS.
I received my PhD in mathematics from the University of Washington in June 2021, advised by Jayadev Athreya.

Mathematics is ultimately about problem solving, so through a mixture of lecturing and active learning techniques (such as worksheets and group work), I strive to help my students gain independence and confidence in their problem solving skills.
Mentoring undergraduate reading projects and research projects is one of my favorite ways to engage with students of math.
