I adapted and illustrated the Brother's Grimm tale, "The Goose Girl," adapting it for a younger and modern audience. For the project, we created a series of thumbnails for each page of the book (10 pages), brought half of them to a clean sketch stage (5), and picked our favorite 3 sketches to fully render into full page spreads, seen below.
5 Word story - She would finally be pretty.
We wrote our own 5 word story, and based an illustration off of our creation for a two-page book spread.
Short Story Spot Illustrations - The Phantom Woman
The following black and white ink works are spot Illustrations for one of the many short stories in W. Bob Holland's book, Twenty-Five Ghost Stories. The three spot illustrations I created were for the story "The Phantom Woman" - one for the title page, a full page spread (left) and a double page spread (below).
