Life after SEVER lab:
I am part of the Psychology and the Law Laboratory, where we focus on understanding how psychological factors influence legal processes. Our current project is examining how jury and judge decision-making impact decisions and cognitive processes. In terms of jury decision-making, we look at how factors like group dynamics, persuasion, bias, and social influence affect jurors’ verdicts. We also explore the role of emotions, memory, and the presentation of evidence in shaping how juries reach their decisions. Our research aims to improve fairness and effectiveness in legal systems, by identifying ways to reduce bias and improve the accuracy of verdicts
