2 Meteorites

In 'Meteorites', the second sub-series of 'The Beauty of the Universe', the tension between painting and relief sculpture of the first subseries is resolved in the three-dimensional choice. The burning process of the material remains, from which we can see the inspiration from Alberto Burri's experiments of material realism. But the use of burning polyurethane is original and constitutes one of the author's technical features. The burning process, as in  the subseries 'Creation', is strongly charged with conceptual meaning, the energy, the heat, the magma are connected to the unstoppable and apparently disordered origin of life and the universe. The last work of the subseries, 'Magnetic Meteorite', where the sculpture is connected to a sinuous spiral in polished metal, intends to create a trait d'union with the third subseries, 'Golden Number', on the harmonic beauty of the universe expressed in the mathematical perfection of forms. 

In ‘Meteoriti’, la seconda serie di 'La Bellezza dell'Universo', la tensione tra pittura e scultura a rilievo della prima sottoserie è sciolta nella scelta tridimensionale. Permane la lavorazione in combustione della materia, da cui si evince l’ispirazione dalle sperimentazioni del realismo materiale di Alberto Burri. Ma l’utilizzo del poliuretano è originale, e costituisce una delle cifre tecniche proprie dell’autore. La lavorazione in combustione, come in ‘Creazione’, è fortemente carica di significato concettuale, l’energia, il calore, il magma, sono connessi all’origine, inarrestabile e apparentemente disordinata della vita e dell’universo. L’ultimo opera della sottoserie, ‘Meteorite magnetico’, dove la scultura è collegata a una sinuosa spirale in metallo lucidato, intende creare il trait d’union con la terza sottoserie, ‘Numero aureo’, sull’armonica bellezza dell’universo espressa nella perfezione matematica delle forme.
