LAYOUT OF LIBRARY

In E-library section, there are six computers available for the students to access Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), e-books and e-journals. OPAC is available on the intranet of the institution. The College library is providing free internet access to the students and staff.

Reading room has a capacity of 100 students.

Shailendra College Library is enriched with a total collection of 36859 books including Textbooks and Reference books (32195) on wide range of subjects, Book Bank books (4098), Bound volumes (566), CDs and DVDs (855).

The Research Center / Staff reading room is equipped with three computers and one printer. It is also stocked with reference books.

Library subscribes to 55 journals in print.

Current Awareness Service is provided in the form of display on Newly arrived books in the Library.

At the circulation counter, two computers, one wireless barcode reader and barcode printer are available for the ease of computerized circulation system.

A Counselor is available in the Library on one day in a week for two hours to counsel the students.

The library premises is secured with three CCTV cameras.

Regular updates, notices are displayed on the Notice board.

A Zerox facility is available in the library.

Library subscribes to 8 newspapers in English as well as regional languages.

A purified hot and cold drinking water facility is available in the library.
