Welcome to ServiceFinder.mu ("we", "our", "us). 

ServiceFinder.mu is a Mauritian online platform that connects service seekers ("Users") with service providers ("Providers") - freelancers, startups, and entrepreneurs - offering a wide range of services.

By accessing, booking, or using ServiceFinder.mu (“ServiceFinder”, “we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“T&C”).

If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Nature of the Platform

ServiceFinder.mu is a service facilitation and booking platform that connects customers (“Service Seekers”) with independent third-party service providers (“Service Providers”).

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

• ServiceFinder.mu does not perform the services
  
  

• ServiceFinder.mu does not employ Service Providers
  
  

• Service Providers operate as independent contractors
  
  

ServiceFinder.mu does not guarantee outcomes, only facilitation and dispute assessment.

2. Eligibility

To use ServiceFinder.mu, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
  
  

• Have legal capacity to enter contracts
  
  

• Provide accurate contact and booking information
  
  

ServiceFinder.mu may refuse service at its discretion.

3. Bookings & Scope of Work

• All bookings are subject to availability
  
  

• The scope of service is limited strictly to what is agreed at the time of booking
  
  

• Any additional work requested outside the original scope may incur extra charges
  
  

Verbal assumptions are irrelevant.
Only written confirmations (WhatsApp, email, platform messages) apply.

4. Payments & Payment Hold System (CRITICAL)

4.1 Payment Collection

• All payments are collected by ServiceFinder.mu on behalf of Service Providers
  
  

• Payments may be held temporarily under a payment-hold (escrow-style) system
  
  

4.2 Payment Release

Payments are released to Service Providers only after:

• The service reaches its Service Completion Point (SCP)
  
  

• No valid complaint is received within the applicable complaint window
  
  

Silence or non-response by the customer = acceptance.

5. Satisfaction, Complaints & Refund Insurance

5.1 Satisfaction Definition

“Satisfaction” means:

The service was delivered as agreed, reached its SCP, and met objective completion criteria.

Satisfaction does not include:

• Personal taste
  
  

• Guest opinions
  
  

• Event success
  
  

• Change of mind
  
  

5.2 Complaint Windows

Complaint windows vary by service category and are communicated at booking.
Complaints outside these windows are automatically invalid.

5.3 Refund Insurance

• Refund insurance is not a guarantee of refund
  
  

• All refunds are assessed case by case
  
  

• ServiceFinder.mu has sole discretion to determine outcomes
  
  

6. Cancellations & No-Shows

6.1 Customer Cancellations

• Cancellation terms vary by service
  
  

• Last-minute cancellations may be non-refundable
  
  

6.2 Provider No-Show

If a provider fails to show up:

• Payment may be refunded or rescheduled
  
  

• Liability is limited to the booking amount paid
  
  

7. Pricing & Fees

All fees are disclosed prior to confirmation.

8. User Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

• Provide accurate information
  
  

• Ensure access to premises
  
  

• Use rented equipment responsibly
  
  

• Avoid interference with service delivery
  
  

Damage caused by misuse may result in additional charges.

9. Provider Responsibilities

Service Providers agree to:

• Deliver services professionally
  
  

• Meet agreed timelines
  
  

• Comply with safety and legal standards
  
  

• Cooperate during dispute resolution
  
  

Failure may result in payment withholding or removal from the platform.

10. Force Majeure

ServiceFinder.mu is not liable for failures caused by:

• Weather conditions
  
  

• Power outages
  
  

• Strikes
  
  

• Government restrictions
  
  

• Natural disasters
  
  

• Events beyond reasonable control
  
  

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• ServiceFinder.mu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  
  

• Total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific booking
  
  

• ServiceFinder.mu is not responsible for:
  
  

  • Event outcomes
    
    

  • Business losses
    
    

  • Emotional distress
    
    

  • Reputational damage
    
    

12. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless ServiceFinder.mu from:

• Claims arising from misuse
  
  

• Third-party disputes
  
  

• Breach of these T&C
  
  

• Negligence not attributable to ServiceFinder.mu
  
  

13. Abuse & Fraud Prevention

ServiceFinder.mu reserves the right to:

• Deny refunds in cases of abuse
  
  

• Suspend or terminate accounts
  
  

• Refuse future bookings
  
  

• Report fraud where necessary
  
  

14. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and materials belong to ServiceFinder.mu.
Unauthorized use is prohibited.

15. Modifications to Terms

ServiceFinder.mu may modify these T&C at any time.
Continued use constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These T&C are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius.
Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Mauritian courts.

17. Final Authority Clause 

All decisions regarding:

• Satisfaction
  
  

• Payment release
  
  

• Refunds
  
  

• Disputes
  
  

are made at the sole discretion of ServiceFinder.mu and are final.
