Short Biography

Rúben Moreira holds a Licenciatura in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s in Biochemistry with specialization in Biomolecular Methods from the University of Aveiro (UA). Rúben completed his master’s dissertation titled "Impact of Chromium Picolinate on Leydig Cell and Testicular Steroidogenesis" with a remarkable 20/20 grade, under the supervision of Professor Pedro F. Oliveira and Professor Maria de Lourdes Pereira.

Currently, Rúben is a PhD student in the Doctorate in Biochemistry at UA, developing the project "FITWISE: Transgenerational effects of paternal childhood obesity and weight-loss management through dietary correction and exercise", under the supervision of Professor Marco G. Alves (University of Aveiro), Professor Rita Ferreira (University of Aveiro), and Professor David J. Stensel (Loughborough University)
