Menu & Footer Link Extractor is a Chrome extension designed for a single purpose: extracting menu and footer navigation links from the currently active webpage and exporting them as a CSV file.

Your privacy is important. This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

Data Collection

The extension does not collect any user data.

Specifically:

• No analytics, tracking, or logging is performed
  
  

• No data is sent to external servers
  
  

All processing happens locally in your browser.

Website Content Access

To perform its core function, the extension temporarily accesses website content (such as anchor text and URLs) from the webpage you are actively viewing.

This access is:

• Limited to the active tab
  
  

• Triggered only when the user opens the extension
  
  

• Used solely to generate a CSV export
  
  

The extension does not retain this data after export.

Data Sharing

The extension does not:

Permissions Usage

The extension uses the following permissions strictly for its single purpose:

• activeTab & scripting: to extract menu and footer links from the current webpage
  
  

• downloads: to allow the user to download the generated CSV file
  
  

• host permissions: to operate on the active webpage only
  
  

No background access or automated scanning occurs.

Security

Since no data is collected or transmitted, there is no external data storage or processing involved. All actions occur locally within the user’s browser environment.

Limitations

Due to browser security restrictions, the extension cannot access:

• Links inside cross-origin iframes
  
  

• Links inside closed Shadow DOM components
