One of things I struggled with as a teacher was making fun and engaging lessons. I knew my content backwards and forward and could explain it to a tee. The problem was that some of my students weren't engaged which led to misbehavior. I knew that if I wanted to reach all my learners, I had to do something different. I set aside some time during class and asked my students for their feedback. We had an open and candid conversation about what they liked and disliked as well as what they would like to see happen in the classroom. It took some time and research on my part, but the results were astounding. I'm still reaping the benefits to this day.
