After graduating from Munster High School, I attended Indiana University Bloomington where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in African American African Diaspora Studies. At IU I was a member of the Women's Track & Field team, president of the Hudson & Holland Scholars Advisory Council and president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Shortly after graduating, I was selected into the highly competitive cohort of Indianapolis Teaching Fellows and began teaching Spanish and ESL at Emma Donnan Middle School in Indianapolis. While teaching I earned my Master's in Teaching from Marian University. I specialize in Spanish instruction, differentiated instruction and assessment design.
After moving to Houston in 2014, I began teaching in Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District, where I coached and taught for five years.
I'm excited about embarking on this journey with you as I use my skills and experience as an educator to help other educators seeking opportunities to learn from others.
