Formatting and Features

Formats and Textboxes

When you are creating content within a chapter, you can use Formats for hanging indents and pull quotes, and Textboxes for shading and colour blocking to break up the text.

Glossary and Footnotes

To insert a glossary term, just highlight a term and click GL to insert a definition. To generate a glossary at the end of your book, just insert a blank Glossary page in the Back Matter and all the terms will automatically generate on the page.

To insert a footnote, place your cursor where you would like the number to appear and click FN. Enter your information and when saved the footnote will generate automatically at the bottom of the page.

Use the Add Media button to add audio visual content.

You can use Insert from URL to embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo or other streaming services, or images from Unsplash, Pixabay or other royalty-free image sharing sites. You can also use Add Media -> Upload to upload your own videos, images and documents.
