Issues in assessing measurement model for single construct separately:

1. Cannot assess discriminant validity.

2. Less efficient because of doing it one after another.

Measurement Model for A Pooled Construct

Due to certain issues discovered when assessing measurement model for every single latent construct separately, the researcher should assess the measurement model for all constructs simultaneously. In a pooled CFA, all constructs are combined into one complete model and CFA is executed at once.

This model include all variables involved in the study and will be assessed simultaneously.

Standardized vs Unstandardized Estimates

Unstandardized coefficients are model parameter estimates based on the analysis of raw data.

Standardized coefficients are model parameter estimates based on the analysis of standardized data, in the sense that all variables are supposed to have unit variance. Standardized data are affected less by the scales of measurement and can be used to compare the relative impact of variables that are incommensurable (i.e., measured in different units on the same/different scales).
