Bridge Rectifier
Rotating a gear motor in an opposite direction can generate an output voltage with reverse polarity, potentially damaging components in the circuit. This can be resolved with full-wave rectification, converting all voltage to a DC output.
Boost Converter
Since the way people open doors may vary, input may vary as a result. A boost converter will ensure that the required voltage of 36 V will be met every time.
Supercapacitor Bank
All voltage output from the boost converter will be stored within the supercapacitor bank to allow for future uses of the locking mechanism.
