The second supporting technology to our design is the access card reader. Since this design is for commercial use, like Loyola, we wanted to use a system that is easy to maintain. Unlike fingerprint scanners, ID cards (“swipes”) are a much more lucrative option as they are easy to program, create, and recreate for a large number of people.
