Welcome! Thank you so much for checking out my website! I'm always adding new things, so please feel free to check out what's already here and what's coming soon on the home page! I am always thinking of more forms of weather data visualization to add, so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to message me on Twitter. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Below, you will find embedded links to some of the weather-data-plotting web apps that I've created. Click on the link to plot that particular dataset!
Sounding Plotters
ERA5 Sounding Plotter (Worldwide hourly coverage from 1940/01/01 to present)
NOTES: This is the best worldwide reanalysis dataset IMO, although NARR and MERRA may be better for US coverage post 1979 (the beginning of the satellite era). ECMWF servers are rarely consistent, so don't expect soundings to come fast all the time.
NARR Sounding Plotter (US-only 6-hourly coverage from 1979/01/01 to present)
NOTES: This is the best low-resolution dataset for USA Atmospheric Reanalysis before RUC began in 2005. The only major drawback is that this dataset only has data for every 6 hours.
RAP and RUC Sounding Plotter (US-only hourly coverage from 2005/01/01 to present)
NOTES: This is the best and longest-lasting modern model dataset for the US and partial Canada coverage. Earlier data, especially pre-2013, is not that accurate in more saturated environments. NCEI servers often go under maintenance, so don't always expect NCEI server consistency.
Satellite Data Plotters
GRIDSAT Archive Satellite Data Viewer (Worldwide 3-hourly coverage from 1980/01/01 to 2024/03/31)
NOTES: This dataset is the lowest quality but is mostly consistent in coverage. This is the only dataset with METEOSAT Data that I have working
NOTES: Depending on when and where you request the data from, this dataset automatically determines which satellite to use. This may take some time, as the app has been optimized to use as little memory as possible to work with StreamLit's free tier. This dataset can plot LIVE satellite data.
Archive Data Plotters
Tropical Cyclone Track Archived Data Plotter
NOTES: This application parses data from the IBTRACS dataset and creates a plot for the requested tropical cyclone track. It also includes other relevant information, such as ACE, start and end time, and maximum pressure/windspeed.
ERA5 General Archived Data Plotter
NOTES: This application plots various types of ERA5 reanalysis data that are useful for retrospectively analyzing various significant weather events WORLDWIDE, such as severe weather, tropical cyclones, flooding events, blizzards, and more! This is the best worldwide reanalysis dataset IMO, although NARR and MERRA may be better for US coverage post 1979 (the beginning of the satellite era). ECMWF servers are rarely consistent, so don't expect plots to come fast all the time. This dataset is WORLDWIDE. For larger plot areas, this data WILL TAKE A LONG TIME (like a minute) TO PLOT!
RAP/RUC General Archived Data Plotter
NOTES: This application plots various types of RAP and RUC model data that are useful for retrospectively analyzing various significant weather events across the CONUS, such as severe weather, tropical cyclones, flooding events, blizzards, and more! This is the best and longest-lasting modern model dataset for the US and partial Canada coverage. Earlier data, especially pre-2013, is not that accurate in more saturated environments. NCEI servers often go under maintenance, so don't always expect NCEI server consistency.
20th Century Reanalysis General Archived Data Plotter
NOTES: This application plots various types of 20th Century Reanalysis data that are useful for retrospectively analyzing various significant weather events WORLDWIDE, such as severe weather, tropical cyclones, flooding events, blizzards, and more! This is the best worldwide reanalysis dataset IMO PRE 1940, as ERA5, NARR and MERRA significantly improve data after them. This dataset is WORLDWIDE.
