AR (Augmented Reality)

Our IDAR project is designed for 9th-grade high school students (ages 14-15) in chemistry. After learning about the periodic table’s development and elemental families, students often find it challenging to understand atomic structures and chemical bonding—core foundations in chemistry. These abstract concepts can be difficult to grasp without a more interactive and intuitive learning experience. IDAR addresses this challenge by providing a hands-on approach that makes these complex ideas more accessible and engaging for students, fostering a deeper understanding of the building blocks of chemistry.

This project builds on the Instructional Design (ID) for Augmented Reality (AR), as illustrated on the right. By following the principles of ID, our work provides immersive, tangible learning experiences while seeking deeper understanding of the most foundational concepts in chemistry.
