About SEED-2023 @ APSEC
7th Software Engineering EDucation Workshop (SEED-2023) promises a boost to this evolving platform for SE educators in South Asia. Similar to the preceding SEED workshops, it would call for contributions on teaching and learning of software engineering. In particular, we are interested in contributions addressing the theme of the role of human-AI collaboration in educating collaborative, creative, and socially responsible Software Engineers.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Role of generative AI tools like ChatGPT in the software development lifecycle
Incorporating Generative AI tools like ChatGPT in Software Engineering course Design
Teaching and learning of socially responsible AI topics in Software Engineering courses
Methods of teaching, learning, and assessment in software engineering with introducing AI tools
Learning Analytics and tools in software engineering education
Prompt engineering in software engineering education
Studies in continuing education and training of software engineers
Studies in out-of-classroom teaching and learning in software engineering education
Target Audience
Educators teaching SE courses
Course and curriculum designers for SE continuing education programs
Tool creators for supporting SE teaching programs
Practitioners and Trainers from the industry who engage with on-the-job training for software engineers
MS/PhD students interested in software engineering education
Important Dates
Workshop paper submissions due: 20 October 2023 AoE.
Notification to workshop paper authors: 31 October 2023 AoE.
Camera Ready deadline: 14 November 2023 AoE.
Workshop: 4 December 2023
Submissions Guidelines
Paper submissions : Interested authors would submit papers via the Easychair submission link (SEED-2023).
Papers should not exceed 6 pages, including references in standard CEUR proceedings two-column format.
Submitted papers will be reviewed by a program committee. Review criteria would include the relevance of the paper to the audience, overall quality of the written paper, likely benefit to the participants of the workshop.
The workshop proceedings will be published at CEUR-WS, which is usually indexed by DBLP the world's most comprehensive open bibliographic Computer Science Bibliography, and then by SCOPUS. The Chairs reserve the right to reject submissions (without reviews) that are not in compliance or out of scope for the workshop submissions, detected with plagiarism and exceed the page limit.
Authors of accepted papers have to register for the workshop.
