(1) Inquiry - Scientific inquiry is a process in which one asks testable questions and sets out to discover the answers.  There is no single method of inquiry, but classroom science inquiry is characterized by the five elements listed in table 22.3.   These elements are not necessarily linear and may occur at any time during an inquiry.
