In this unit we learned about working vs deliverable files. Working files are the active files you are working on that you use to edit the document, while deliverable files are files in the most compatible format that make sharing more convenient, that way the recipient does not have to download an application to access the file. I created a mind map to explore these two types of files.
I learned about the reference function which can be tailored to the type of source and holds all of your sources and automates your in-text citations, and creates bibliograhies. Furthermore, I got to explore information hierarchy and learned how to use it to organize my documents. Everything else was almost a refresh of what I had learned.
My key takeaways include, adding notes to slides that are only visible to the presenter in presenter view, embedding hyperlinks within slides, and using the Masterslide view which enables editing the whole presentation at once.
I was taught a little bit about excel in school, but that has been a while ago in addition to me not using that knowledge since I learned about it. I was given a refresh on basic excel functions from merging columns to how to create a graph for specific results.
