Booking.com was hacked and confirmed on Monday that hackers may have accessed customers' personal data including names, phone numbers, email addresses and booking details. Hacking means that an unauthorized person gained access to the company's data which turned out to be customers' information in this case. In this incident both the company and its users are both affected as this ruins the company's reputation as well as users' information being in the wrong hands. This can be prevented by the company constantly updating security and requiring multi factor authentication to access sensitive information.
