Anuban Udonthani School was established on June 24, 1943 at 101 Sri Suk Road, Mak Khaeng Subdistrict, Mueang Udonthani District, Udonthani Province, under the Special Education Division, Department of General Education, Ministry of Education, with Ms. Ruchi Wibhataphuthi as the first administrator. It was transferred to the Office of the National Primary Education Commission on October 1, 1980, and changed its affiliation to the Office of the Basic Education Commission, Ministry of Education until the present.
At the beginning of its establishment, the original Women's Teacher Training School, which was a Women's Technical School (currently Udonthani Vocational College), was used as a school, accepting only kindergarten students. Later, in 1947, it opened to teach up to Grade 1. In 1954, the school was established in a new location (current location) as an independent school with school administrators.

Anubanudonthani School has student from Kindergarten 2 to Primary 6 and has offered a variety of facilities such as Gifted Center and ASEAN Center for learning. There are bathrooms and a cafeteria for lunch and Snacks, a plaza for occasions, and even a playground for the children. All classrooms are fitted with air conditioning and fans, art equipment, toys, storybooks, art materials and TVs as part of the learning environment. In the library students are able to get all the different books they require for school as well as books that support their studies and personal development. In the classrooms for instance, the students and teachers remove their shoes and keep them outside to avoid contamination. Moreover, lunch and milk is provided free for students, to ensure that they have a well balanced diet to enable them learn. The ASEAN Center helps students to develop their perceptive international outlook, the Gifted Center develops gifted students. Anubanudonthani School make academic and co-curricular learning sustainable habits, creativity, and cultural awareness.
The teaching system used in Anubanudonthani School is centered on student learning and is based on the Basic Education Core Curriculum. The learning process occurs from Monday to Friday. The school day begins with a flag ceremony at 7:At 7:30 AM some classes start and at 7:30 AM classes conclude at 4:30 PM. The school operates on a full-day basis even with regard to the students in the kindergarten levels since all children deserve all the learning time they can get.
All materials are prepared and readily available inside the classrooms to facilitate smooth teaching and learning. The teachers teaching in primary school are professionals who have specialized in some certain areas and as a result students get exposed to teachers with different specialty in their respective fields. In kindergarten, each class is supported by three teachers: an adviser, a practice teacher and a teacher who supervises all activities that is conducted in classroom. This structure of collaborative teaching makes sure that young learners are given all round directions and support throughout their day.
Facilities at Anubanudonthani School consist of basic and current teaching learning resource materials. Facilities include LED TVs connected with HDMI & internet for classroom teaching, and black/white boards. Every learner has their book that is set for answering exercises.
