Nestled in the coastal community of Seaforth, Nova Scotia, our home and garden rest between the sea and the fields — a place where salt air and birdsong mingle with children’s laughter. The land itself is our greatest teacher. Here, the children explore garden paths, collect treasures from nature, and feel the rhythm of the seasons beneath their feet.

Our days unfold both indoors and out. Inside, natural materials — wood, wool, silk, beeswax — create a soft, nurturing environment where imagination can bloom. Outdoors, the children roam freely among wildflowers, stones, and trees, tending to the earth and discovering the simple joys of being in nature.

As the seasons turn, our vision continues to grow. At the top of the property, plans are underway for a large greenhouse — a bright, sunlit space that will welcome children and families for programs throughout the year. Within this space, we envision:

• Parent and tot mornings, where little ones explore through song and play.

• Nursery and preschool programs, inspired by Waldorf rhythm and nature’s beauty.

• Homeschool gatherings, where older children connect through story, handwork, and seasonal projects.

• Parent education evenings and handwork circles, nurturing community and creativity.

In time, Seaforth Children’s Garden will also be home to a small micro flower farm, inviting children to plant, tend, and harvest — learning firsthand the cycles of growth and care that shape our world.

Our dream is to create not just a program, but a living, breathing space for families to gather — a place where wonder, rhythm, and connection take root, and where both children and parents can feel the peace and beauty of a life lived close to nature.
