What you need to complete the FAFSA:

• Create an FSA ID for you and your parent at fsaid.ed.gov
• Social Security Numbers for you and your parent
• Federal income tax returns or W2s for you and your parent. (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
• Untaxed income records (Social Security, disability, child support, etc)

Why should I complete the FAFSA?

The maximum Pell Grant amount for 2017-2018 is $5,920 -- money you don't have to pay back!

Completing and submitting the FAFSA® is free and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college or career/technical school.

In addition, many scholarships use your FAFSA information, too!
