WELCOME SEA-IZZLING ADMITS! First off, pat yourselves on the back for all of your hard work into getting to UCLA! We know how stressful it must’ve been during those moments of anxiety when opening your emails. HOWEVERR, we’re so happy that we get to give you all a sense of what UCLA (and college life) is all about this weekend!
To introduce ourselves, we are Sarah-Ann, Duy, and Amberlynn, this year’s Workshop Coordinators. Over the past few months, we’ve been delegating a team of workshop facilitators to present to you a series of presentations to help create a guide of what the college lifestyle is all about! Whether it be the basics of seeing what dorms to pick, seeing dining halls on campus, or even balancing your academic and social life, we have it all prepared! We hope that after seeing these workshops and participating in various activities, you all will be a bit more confident of how to navigate the start of your undergraduate years.
Although we were in charge of this portion of SEW, we still hope that you all gain unforgettable memories through this weekend. From meeting new friends, to exploring new hang out spots in Los Angeles, this is the start of YOUR college journey. The thought of college and a totally different environment can be daunting, but just know that you now have a community that’s rooting for you and by your side.
