An email has been sent to you with a Google Form link to apply for our fully in person three-day, two-night SEA Admit Weekend, but the application form can also be found on our website or with this link 2025 Student Experience Weekend: Hosted by SEA Coalition Application. Please be sure to fill out all necessary information! The application will be due April 5th, 2025 at 11:59 PM PST.
An email will be sent to you on April 6th, 2025 and you have until April 7th, 2025 to confirm your spot.
On the admit form, you will indicate either that you will have your own mode of housing or you are requesting housing from us. If you have your own housing, you will commute to UCLA to participate in our activities during the day and will return to your accommodations to sleep during the night. If you are requesting housing accommodations from us, we will pair you with a host and sleep in their dorm for the duration of the weekend.
You can indicate any host requests on the admit form and we can work to accommodate your request, but the student must have signed up to be a host for Student Experience Weekend - not just any UCLA student can host!
Please refer to our packing list, here.
We want to personalize your experience and show you around UCLA. In this system, you will be grouped with other admits and two current UCLA undergraduates who can advise you on the UCLA campus, their own experiences transitioning into college, what their day-to-day schedules can look like, and other things they are involved in so you can get a better idea of whether or not UCLA is the college for you!
That is perfectly fine. UCLA will be holding their annual, in-person Bruin Day where prospective students can come explore everything the campus has to offer. There are also other admit programs that you may be eligible to attend!
We highly encourage that you attend all three days of the event and priority will be given to applicants who can make all three days. However, if there are extenuating circumstances, please detail it to us in an email to sawoutreach@gmail.com.
Our program will be completely free of cost!
Flights and FlixBus costs may potentially be paid for with our travel scholarship, but these scholarships unfortunately are not guaranteed. Please still apply and we will do what we can to accommodate as many people as possible!
UCLA Bruin Day is our campus' exclusive event for admitted freshmen, with activities and workshops for you to attend to learn more about UCLA. More information can be found here: https://bruinday.ucla.edu/freshmen/home
Yes! SEA Admit Weekend has a dedicated portion in our agenda from 9am-3pm for admits to attend Bruin Day.
Yes! Attending the Weekend is a great way to help you decide whether UCLA is the right school for you. You will be getting a chance to participate various activities such as a professor advocacy panel, a family system where you will be paired with other admits and current UCLA undergraduates, and online workshops.
UCLA's Student Experience Weekend: Hosted by SEA Coalition provides more opportunities to explore the Southeast Asian identity. Along with workshops on a variety of topics such as financial aid, college life, and identity, you will also have the opportunity to meet other UCLA students through our mentorship program, speak to UCLA alumni, tour campus, experience life in the dorms, and meet other admitted students like yourself!
