Hello and welcome to the 17th annual Student Experience Weekend: Hosted by the Southeast Asian Coalition!

We are Naomi, My Khanh, and Victor, often referred to as the chairs. We’d first like to start off by acknowledging all the efforts you’ve put into pursuing higher education (pat yourself on the back)! Although all three of us may be graduating this year, we remember starting our college journey like it was just yesterday. In our own ways, Student Experience Weekend has been a defining journey for us and, from personal experience, we’ve found a community that welcomes our unique Southeast Asian identity through this event. As you weigh your options for where to dedicate the next years of your life, just keep in mind that Student Experience Weekend is here to help! 

For the past few months, we’ve had the honor of working with some of the most amazing coordinators and facilitators to bring this event into fruition. Throughout this weekend, we hope that you’ll be able to witness all the hard work that has been poured into this program and see the strong community that awaits you at UCLA. 

We have a stacked agenda that awaits you, featuring engaging workshops, an interactive People of Color tour, and an alumni dinner to connect you to former Bruins in varying professions. Last but not least, you’ll be mentored by family heads that will guide you through this entire 3-day, 2-night program. 

We’re so excited to have you and show you everything our school has to offer. Remember that we’re here for you, regardless of where you choose to start your college career!
