For generations, the stars have been more than distant lights in the sky. Our ancestors have turned to the stars for direction, hope, and wisdom. Across Southeast Asian cultures, celestial myths and traditions remind us that we are part of something far greater than ourselves. This year, UCLA’s Student Experience Weekend invites you to step into the SEA-ty of SEA-tars, where our cultures and identities form constellations of resilience, unity, and aspiration.

Much like the constellations mapped by our ancestors, our journeys are intertwined, each of us a brilliant star shaped by the struggles and triumphs of our communities. In a world that often renders our stories invisible, we rise as beacons of strength, proving that we have been here, shining and reaching for something greater. As we embark on a journey to higher education, we will do it together. 

Now as we step into the SEA-ty of SEA-tars, we carry that same legacy forward. The possibilities ahead of us are limitless, and together we shine brighter, lifting each other up and ensuring that no one’s light is dimmed. Student Experience Weekend: Hosted by SEA Coalition transcends a weekend. We build a future where every Southeast Asian voice is heard and celebrated.
