About SEA-Teacher
The SEA-Teacher Project, initiated by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat (SEAMEO Secretariat), offers pre-service student teachers from universities across Southeast Asia the opportunity to gain invaluable teaching experience through international exchange. This initiative aims to:
Enhance Teaching Skills: Provide hands-on classroom experience to develop effective teaching methodologies.
Improve English Proficiency: Encourage the use of English in diverse educational settings.
Broaden Perspectives: Expose future educators to different cultures and educational systems.
Foster Adaptability: Prepare teachers to thrive in varied teaching and learning environments.
Program Activities
Observation – Understanding the school environment and teaching methods.
Assisting Teachers – Helping local teachers in classroom activities.
Teaching Practice – Conducting lessons using English or the local language.
Reflection & Reporting – Sharing experiences and improvements after the practicum.
