Hello!
Mabuhay!
Sawadee Krub!
I am Patrick James L. Urcia, a student at the University of Northern Philippines taking up a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) Major in English. Teaching has always been one of my childhood dreams. In high school, I knew I was destined to be on this path because the world of teaching has always been close to my heart. Aside from being familiar with the field because of my grandmother, who was also a teacher, I was also a volunteer catechist in our local church for almost four years, where I had the chance to teach religion and introduce parables to pupils in public schools. There has always been this feeling of fulfillment every time you see your pupils smiling and learning, and perhaps those were the primary driving forces that made me choose to venture on this track.
Aside from my love for teaching, I also love writing. My passion for exploring and listening to different stories and perspectives was my anchor as I sailed with the SEA-Teacher Project. And with all the people I met along this journey, I truly learned a lot.
My voyage with the SEA-Teacher Project is not only for professional growth but also to have a personal one. Hence, now that I have returned join me and let us review my experiences and lessons!
