"A Chapter with My Special Family "
With my buddies who accompanied me every step of the way
With the Dumarao family, a place where I shared and exchanged inspiration
Estefania, a place where I met kind and talkative students
Joining the SEA-TEACHER 2026 Program was an extraordinary journey that offered not only academic learning but also meaningful human connections and a strong sense of belonging. From the very beginning, this program introduced me to experiences that broadened my perspective and strengthened my passion for teaching. One of the most memorable moments at the start of this journey was meeting my buddies—warm, cheerful, and supportive individuals who welcomed me with open hearts. Their friendliness and enthusiasm instantly made me feel comfortable, turning an unfamiliar place into a space filled with laughter, warmth, and acceptance.
Soon after, I had the privilege of meeting the Director at Dumarao Campus, an experience that further deepened my appreciation for the environment I would be part of throughout the program. He kindly guided me on a tour around the campus, introducing me to its facilities while sharing insights about the academic life and culture of the institution. As I walked through the campus and felt its calm and peaceful atmosphere, I became more confident that this was a nurturing and inspiring place where meaningful learning could truly take place. The warm reception from the academic community strengthened my belief that this journey would be filled with guidance, collaboration, and growth.
Not long after, I was introduced to the Principal of one of the elementary schools where I conducted my classroom observations and teaching practice. During our discussion, we talked in detail about the SEA-TEACHER program, the objectives of classroom observation, and the teaching activities that would be implemented. This meeting allowed me to better understand the school culture, classroom dynamics, and the careful preparation required to carry out effective teaching. It became a valuable learning moment that helped shape my mindset as a future educator, reminding me of the importance of planning, communication, and adaptability in the teaching profession.
Equally meaningful was the love and support I received from my host family at Estefania. They were incredibly kind and caring individuals who consistently accompanied, encouraged, and supported me throughout my observation and teaching practice. Their presence gave me comfort and strength, especially during moments when I felt tired or overwhelmed. Being far away from home was no longer a heavy burden, as their warmth made me feel safe, supported, and truly welcomed as part of their family.
This journey was filled with countless unforgettable moments—moments of learning, reflection, laughter, and growth. Although there are many more stories and experiences that deserve to be shared, these memories represent only a small part of the meaningful journey I have experienced. I am deeply grateful to everyone who walked alongside me, offered guidance, and provided unwavering support throughout this program. I sincerely hope that all the knowledge, values, and life lessons I have gained from the SEA-TEACHER 2025 Program will continue to guide me forward and be shared with others in the future, as I strive to grow into a dedicated and compassionate educator. 🌊✨

During the opening program, the Campus Director delivered a sincere and inspiring speech, expressing his appreciation for our presence and sharing his hopes that the SEA-TEACHER Program would serve as a bridge for learning, collaboration, and cultural exchange. At that moment, I truly felt acknowledged, valued, and embraced as part of the Dumarao Campus family. When I first arrived at Estefania Mentimayor National High School, I was immediately met with a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The students were full of energy, greeting us with bright smiles, cheerful waves, and genuine excitement. Their laughter and enthusiastic voices echoed throughout the campus, creating a warm and inviting environment.
The opening program was vibrant and full of spirit. The principal and teachers welcomed us with kindness and sincerity, followed by creative performances by the students, including traditional dances, lively skits, and cheerful songs. I was deeply touched by the students’ energy, dedication, and enthusiasm.
Their curiosity and eagerness to interact made me feel truly accepted and appreciated. They asked questions about me, the SEA-TEACHER program, and the experiences I had, showing genuine interest and warmth. This heartfelt and joyful reception left a lasting impression on me and inspired me to give my very best throughout my time at Estefania Mentimayor National High School.
The opening ceremony at CapSU’s main campus was truly a memorable experience. I felt excited and inspired as I met so many new friends from universities across Indonesia. They were kind, welcoming, and full of warmth, and it didn’t take long for us to connect and form bonds that would accompany us throughout this journey. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy, filled with laughter, shared stories, and a mutual enthusiasm for the program ahead. Meeting such amazing people made me feel more confident and supported as I began my SEA-TEACHER experience.
During the ceremony, the university officials gave us a warm reception, and the event was highlighted by inspiring speeches and cultural performances that reflected the rich heritage and spirit of CapSU. It was a true celebration of unity, collaboration, and friendship among students from diverse backgrounds.
Unfortunately, our group from UAD had to leave earlier and could not attend the official closing ceremony. Parting ways before the final event was bittersweet, yet we knew that the connections and friendships we had built would endure well beyond the program. Even though we missed the formal closing, the memories we created and the lessons we learned during our time at CapSU will always hold a special place in our hearts.
