Component 3.1 STEM/STEAM Plan

The STEM/STEAM Plan may be incorporated into an established school plan or a unique document.

Element 3.1a Development of a Plan

Indicator

The school has a STEM/STEAM plan with goals and strategies that align to school-wide priorities and meets the quality criteria outlined in this document. The plan includes a vision for STEM/STEAM learning, action items for implementation, identifies responsible parties and establishes an implementation timeline. A broad range of stakeholders including school faculty, students, staff, parents, and community partners are included in the development of the STEM/STEAM plan.

Element 3.1b Financial Resources

Indicator

Leadership demonstrates dedication to the accomplishment of the STEM/STEAM program goals by utilizing and procuring various financial streams; including but not limited to site and district budgets, grant funding, donations and additional resources as available.

Element 3.1c Continuous Improvement of Program

Indicator

Stakeholder groups are actively involved in monitoring implementation of the STEM/STEAM plan and progress towards goals identified, using a cycle of continuous improvement. The plan is reviewed regularly and revised as needed.
