A diverse offering of STEM/STEAM courses are available to all students, including Career Technical Education, Computer Science, Science, Visual and Performing Arts, and Mathematics. Courses at the high school level are A-G approved. There is a system in place to ensure all students have awareness of, access to, and can choose to take these courses. All students are actively encouraged to challenge themselves in advanced options.
Students and teachers are engaged in STEAM focused activities along the career development continuum (Middle School and High School), which includes self-awareness (the intersection of strengths, interests, and values), career awareness, career exploration, career preparation and career training. Students have opportunities to engage in industry connected work-based learning including guest speakers, workplace tours and/or internships.
Students work with counselors and educators to explore their strengths, interests, values and career goals. Students investigate options for, and plan, their K-12 coursework and post-secondary educational and career path(s) with the support of counselors and educators.
