What is Zoom video conferencing?
Zoom is a company that offers many tools and services to allow two or more users to communicate online. Users with a Zoom account (it's free) can host video conferences or “meetings” to communicate online using video, audio, screen sharing, and chat. Teachers have found that using Zoom to host class meetings online let students experience the next closest thing to a real class! To join a meeting, students do not need to register with Zoom, they just need to click a unique link provided by the instructor. Zoom meetings are compatible with almost every type of computer, tablet, or smartphone using very little internet connection. If students do not have the appropriate equipment or internet connection to join a Zoom meeting, they may also dial a unique phone number to join a meeting.
