FAGEN FRIEDMAN & FULFROST SCHOLARSHIP

The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) and F3 Student AwardsTM are partnering to Celebrate Success by sponsoring a statewide art contest for all K-12 public education students.


Students should create a work of art that visually captures the essence of success—unique to their own perspectives—in a celebratory fashion. Entrants will be critiqued on theme, execution, and creativity.

RULES

          • Drawings must be solely the original work of the student entrant; Plagiarized drawings will be immediately disqualified without any opportunity for resubmission;
          • Entrants must submit only one drawing;
          • Decisions of the judges are final; and
          • All entries become property of ACSA and F3 and will not be returned.

Paper to be used for the drawings must be no smaller than 8.5” x 11” and no larger than 11” x 17”. Composition may be vertical or horizontal in orientation. Artists may use any colorful medium that includes markers, paints, pastels, colored pencils, or crayons. Pencil drawings shall also be acceptable.

APPLICATION COMPONENTS

Include with each entry on a separate piece of paper the student's full name, age, grade, name of school/school district, principal/ teacher’s name, and contact number for the principal/teacher. Any submission that is not made in accordance with these instructions shall be immediately disqualified without any opportunity for resubmission.


ELIGIBILITY

All California public education students, grades K-12.

All “Celebrate Success” art contest entries must be submitted to the following address:

Entries may be mailed or hand delivered. ACSA and F3 do not assume responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, and illegible entries, all of which shall be disqualified.

SCHOLARSHIP - DUE FEB 27, 2020

RMEL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The purpose of the RMEL Foundation is to award scholarships to deserving and qualified students in engineering, business, information systems, plant, line or distribution technology, line worker or other curriculum related to the electric energy industry.

AWARDS

Awards will be made in two categories:

  1. RMEL Foundation Scholarships. These scholarships are awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000-$3,000. See the eligibility requirements below for these scholarships.
  2. RMEL Foundation Named Scholarships. These scholarships are provided by the Foundation in the name of the individual or corporate donor.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The applicant must be a current high school senior, high school graduate or current university/college undergraduate (freshman, sophomore, junior or senior) student. In addition, you must fulfill ONE of the following:

1. Be pursuing or plan to pursue an electric industry position certificate or associate degree at a college (Certificate/Associate Degree) and be able to provide information about the specific program you are or will attend and the accreditation status of the institution.

2. Be pursuing or plan to pursue an undergraduate degree with intent to pursue a career in the electric energy industry.

And, the applicant must:

1. Be a permanent U.S. resident.

2. Complete the online application in its entirety.

Note: If awarded a scholarship the recipient will be asked throughout the remaining years of college to periodically provide RMEL with information including expected graduation date, expected degree, internships, and post-graduate employment.

HOW RECIPIENTS ARE CHOSEN

A Selection Committee of the RMEL Foundation reviews all applications and selects the recipients. The selection criteria are:

  1. Goals and aspirations in the electric energy industry
  2. Motivation to succeed
  3. Service to community and school
  4. Academic performance
SCHOLARSHIP - DUE MAR 31, 2020

San Diego Alumnae Chapter Scholarship

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., San Diego Alumnae Chapter recognizes and honors African American female students who are committed to academic excellence, positive leadership, and community service.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must African American
  • Must be a high school senior or college/ university undergraduate student
  • Must have minimum 2.75 G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale OR 3.5 G.P.A. on a 5.0 scale in all classes
  • Must demonstrate leadership ability as demonstrated by participation in extracurricular activities, community service, and/or holding positions in various organizations.
  • Plan to attend a 4-year university or junior college

APPLICATION COMPONENTS

ALL ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

  • A sealed and unopened official High School or College/University transcript.
  • Two (2) typed letters of recommendation
  • One (1) typed essay about the difference you plan to in your chosen profession, within your community, and within your family upon receiving your college degree(s)
  • A complete scholarship application form (can be found below)
