Letter from the Principal

Due to COVID-19, St. Catherine of Siena School will continue Remote Learning to the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

St. Catherine of Siena was established by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1949. Seventy years later, we are operating under the same Dominican pillars that are rooted in faith, study, service and prayer. St. Catherine of Siena School is located in the heart of Martinez and for 70 years, we have served thousands of students. Today, we are strongly supported by our alumni, parish, many community members and leaders. We are strong because we are deeply rooted in our faith, academics, and community. Although our school is closed due to Shelter-in-Place restrictions and the COVID-19 pandemic, we are highly committed to providing students and families instructional tools and resources to support our community during this time. Please join us in prayer daily at 3:00 PM to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for Peace and Healing. We also have live streaming of daily mass at 8:00 AM on the St. Catherine of Siena Parish Facebook Page.

May God bless you and keep you well during this time. We look forward to connecting in real time with our community and new families shortly. We pray to be back in session again soon with all of our students in good health.

"I wanted to take the time to thank you for all you are doing for your students. Being an unprecedented time, it’s hard to keep in step, keep in routine and keep positive healthy energy flowing. Thank you for bringing that to --- every weekday. She looks forward to the daily “Zoom” times. Thank you for keeping the work to the basics. It’s truly difficult for my girls to concentrate in their environment in which they usually play in. Keeping the lesson standard week by week helps --- assimilate to her new “school” surroundings during the day.Thank you for all that you do and all that you are doing."- Parent
