The Starr County Retired School Employees Association had a successful and fulfilling 2024–2025 year! We welcomed new members and met monthly to discuss topics of mutual interest while continuing to strengthen the bonds among us as retired educators.

Our chapter, in partnership with the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA), remains committed to advocating for the protection and sustainability of the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) pension fund and the TRS-Care insurance plan. We work closely with both the Texas Legislature and U.S. Congress to ensure the voices of Texas educators are heard and respected.

As a local chapter, we stay informed and actively engaged in efforts to support retired educators. We are dedicated to helping our members stay involved in the communities they once served—and continue to inspire.
