Afterword

The Textbook Industrial Complex is one of the most egregious means of exploitation in academic history. We believe all colleges should plan to go full OER across campus, including a nationwide initiative to build the academic OER library. Likewise, we now live in the age of information, instead of there being not enough choices, there are almost too many to choose from. That is why the initiative of Scriptorium Handbooks is to offer textbooks that are not just free, they are reliably written by working and accomplished academics. We are not bankers, we are educators. As such, our goal should always be creating a space for students where they can focus on learning and building for their future without having unnecessary financial burdens. We believe Scriptorium Handbooks are a shining example of how we can support and make this dream come true.
