Duration of the study

The study will start next spring and will terminate at the end of next autumn

Which samples

Arthropods (especially ants) living on trees as well as samples from the associated trees (bark, swabs,…). It is important to sample flying arthropods (winged ant males, wasps, bees, flies, …..) if present. Species or genus of arthropods and trees should be identified and reported in the e-form.

Number of samples

Your task is to collect samples from at least 100 trees. Choose old trees which have the higher probability to be colonized by Cryptococcus.

Data recording

Record your data in the e-form “Environmental survey” available at Screen Project website.

Fill one form for each tree you have sampled.

Fill details of your affiliation and details concerning date and place of sampling.

Fill page 6 of the form concerning “Sample from trees” and fill only the part relative to tree species 1.

Then go to page 7 of the form and input information about the arthropods collected on the tree (the form allow to input until five different species).
