Lydia Carnesale is a first-generation Mexicana living in SC with her four children. She is a doctoral candidate in the College of Education with the University of South Carolina. Her interests of study are maintaining home language and creating trenzas (braids) between families and schools through language and culture, empowering what is often is overlooked. She loves being active outside and with her kids and pets. Her goal is to change the world and welcome anyone who wishes to join in making this possible.
