Shelby was at the beginning of what we believe would have been an amazing adventurous life and rewarding career.  She always set the bar high and reached even higher.  Her plans evolved over time, from being a doctor, to an obstetrician, a dermatologist, an optometrist, and finally a traveling occupational therapist.  All her career choices had a common theme; the desire to help others.

Most of all, Shelby was a wonderful daughter, a constant source of pride, an unending spring of love, encouragement, and affection.  She is deeply missed and will never be forgotten.  We hope Shelby’s spirit of curiosity and her love of learning will continue to live on through students we support via the Shelby Rhodes Memorial Scholarship.
