Improvisation Activities -

Recording and Reflecting on Vocal soundscapes
After recording a storybook soundscape, students can identify features of each section.
For example-
What emotions or energy levels are present in this episode?
What are the musical elements - tone, rhythm, melody, texture ?
How can we notate the music?
Creative decisions can then be made for possible addition of instrumental composition and playing based on the emotions and musical elements of the vocal sounds
This is a project organised by Hilary Hahn a famous violinist.
She talks about the elements of music.
