The achievement of Eagle Scout carries with it a special significance in Scouting and also in higher education, business/industry, and the communities we live. The award is a performance-based achievement with standards established over decades of those who passed before. Not every youth who joins a Scouts BSA earns the Eagle Scout rank; on average, about 5 percent of all Scouts do so. With more than 1.7 million youth who have earned the rank since 1912, the goals of Scouting remain important for ALL Scouts, whether or not they attain the Eagle Scout rank: Citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness — all centered around leadership and an outdoor program.
December 2023
In December of 2019 the boys of Troop 911 merged with our brother Troop 533.
We would like to honor the 48 scouts who earned the rank of Eagle Scout under Scoutmaster Alan Fountain.
