Triathlon
Anna Hedley first starting working with me through the University of St Andrews - Saints Athlete Performance Pathway. This pathway was launched to support talented athletes in the local community and has been an essential part of Anna's performance development as a young athlete. Here's what Anna has to say:
Scott is a fantastic coach who’s able to work in group and individual environments and, coupled with his enthusiastic personality, he is able to get the best out of each of his athletes. The performance suite at the university is brilliant as it allows for myself and others to maximise the equipment - to perform more complex exercises along with being sizeable enough to capacitate for multiple performance athletes. Overall, scott creates a positive, healthy and supportive environment and he’s always trying to get the best out of us.

Scott is a great coach who always keeps his sessions hard but enjoyable. He has helped me alot in many areas of S&C such as my strength, power, speed, movement competency and bodyweight which have all improved greatly with my time with him. I felt these all transferred really well into my performance on the field and helped me improve massively as a rugby player.

Scott has built me up over the last few years from the bare minimum to the athlete I am today. He progressed me through each movement until I was ready to move on to the more complex exercises. He gives quality advice whether it's personal goal setting or from a nutritional perspective. His sessions contain a good balance of plyometrics, strength and speed work to get the most out of his athletes. Scott's a great guy and quality coach.

Scott has really helped me develop my performance both physically and becoming mentally tough when times are hard. Throughout this past year, Scott has really pushed me to improve on my weaknesses such as my mobility which has prevented me from picking up any injuries and my fitness. During this lockdown the guys at Athlete Performance Hub designed me a conditioning program to take my performance to the next level. Scott is genuinely just a great lad who is always up for a chat and gives great advice and is always looking for new ways to improve and motivate his athletes.
