Halloween Parade and

Costume Contest

Saturday, October 23, 1PM, at Hann Park

Hey Kids! Wear your Halloween finest to join in the parade up to the shopping center where local businesses will be handing our treats. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes when the group walks back to Hann Park for an afternoon snack.

Turkey Time begins at 11am

Trunk Sale begins at 11:45am.

Let’s get moving people! We don’t care if you sprint, jog, or stroll the half (yellow line) or full (orange line) course around the neighborhood. Wear your favorite mask for a group photo at Hann Park at 11am, or join in as we pass your home. A loop around the park’s walking trail is followed by a tour around the neighborhood illustrated in the image above.

A Holiday Trunk Sale will be available in the Hann Park Parking lot featuring: Mary Kay, Pastiche Rose, Chup Chup Cosmetics, Owl Origami, and more.

Mosquito Spraying Scheduled

DNREC will be spraying the Scottfield community to reduce the mosquito population during the week on September 7, 2020. For information about this service please see the Fogging Q&A. To learn what you as a homeowner can do read this guide about the Asian Tiger Mosquito.

Community Yard Sale: Saturday, October 9, 8ish-4ish

Gather your no-longer- needed goodies and bring them to your driveway to participate in Scottfield's semi-annual yard sale. Stroll the sidewalks, do some early holiday shopping, and barter with your neighbors.

New Castle County Police are sponsoring a special opportunity to connect with residents. This is a chance for community members from anywhere in the 5th District to join a discussion about issues in their neighborhoods. Bring a chair and your questions or comments to share with Master Corporal Chris Gigliotti.
