summary :: scorch waits at his tree, as he had been for a while. orchid shows up in the tree and makes a somewhat clumsy landing next to scorch. aggressive hugging ensues, scorch is very happy that the skeleton just exists.

scorch's thoughts :: i shouldn't have let him go. i need him back. that interaction was way too short.

summary :: same as before, but orchid is literally knocked over with the force behind scorch's hug. he holds on as if orchid will start floating away, and despite reassurance, scorch still holds on and worries.

scorch's thoughts :: i need him in my arms again... i need him back.

summary :: post-redesign, orchid approaches the bug-cat in the tree, causing him to fall and react with wary hostility, the old-design orchid plushie somewhat protected. it takes patience and gentle convincing (the more reddish eyes are what happened when previously possessed by the scientists), but scorch eventually lowers his guard, hesitating before grabbing on tight and apologizing frantically. orchid says that it's okay, but the apologies and panic continue.
