Our farm is located in basically the middle of the United States. It is built upon the legacy of those who came before us. Lee 's great-grandfather homesteaded in Rice County in the 1800's. Today we farm many of the same tracts of land originally farmed by his father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Lee grew up where our present farm headquarters is located. Margaret was raised on a farm in nearby Pawnee county. Both of our families have strong ties to the land and our children share this love as well.

When Lee started farming in the late 1970's, following the custom wheat harvest trail was a major portion of the farm operation. However, by the early 1990's we had acquired more land to farm in our area enabling us to "retire" from the custom harvest trail.

We operate now as a family owned corporation with 1 full time employee and other part time seasonal help. We do some custom planting and harvesting in our local area. And we use late model John Deere equipment which you can view here.

Our daughter and son have a great interest in the farm but are currently pursuing other careers. Our daughter, Ann, is a registered dietician and certified diabetes educator. Ray, our son, is a software engineer with John Deere in their Intelligent Systems Group.
