Now that you've written your 5-scene movie script outline, it's time to bring your scenes to life visually!
In this project, you'll create 5 storyboards using Canva that show what each scene from your script looks like.
Each storyboard will include a background representing the location, characters in the scene, dialogue, and a description of what's happening - just like a comic book panel. These storyboards will be used in our next project to create your autobiography animation!
The Canva template should include 5 separate pages/slides, one for each scene. Each page should have:
A large central area for the visual storyboard panel
A text box labeled "Scene Location:" at the top
Space for character images/illustrations
A dialogue box (speech bubble style)
A description box at the bottom labeled "What's Happening:"
5 Storyboard Panels - One for each scene of your life (Middle School, High School, Early Adult, Middle Adult, Age 50)
Visual Storytelling - Each panel shows the setting, characters, and action
Planning Tool - These storyboards will guide your animation project
Background showing the scene location
Character representations (including yourself played by your movie star)
Dialogue showing what characters are saying
Scene description explaining what is happening
Keep your Movie Script Outline open while creating storyboards
Stay true to your script while being creative with visuals
Remember: storyboards are planning tools - they don't need to be perfect art!
