Be polite and kind to your classmates and the teacher. Do not interrupt when someone is talking, teaching, or making a presentation. Everyone should feel safe and comfortable in this class. Students in this class come from many different countries and cultures, speak different languages, and practice different customs and religions. It is important to listen to students who have different ideas from your own. You can disagree with the opinions of others and be respectful. Do not use words that hurt or anger others. Any words or actions that can stop other students from learning will not be allowed.
Cheating on tests and submitting work that is not your own are not allowed. Examples of cheating on tests are using notes, notebooks, dictionaries, books, telephones and other electronic devices, seeking help from others to get answers, or sharing information with another student during or after a test. Copying answers from your classmates and/or allowing other students to get answers from you during an exam are also cheating. Once you are caught cheating on a test or plagiarizing an assignment, all your grades will be cleared.
