If you have copied courses from a previous semester into Spring 2023, you may have noticed additional Zoom sessions. Please make a note that if you are using the Import All Content Canvas will now automatically create Zoom meetings. Most of us do not want this. As you prepare for Summer 2023, please take a look at this course set up cheat sheet for those who host Zoom sessions in their Canvas courses.

Zoom Canvas Name Change

Our planned December Zoom name update was unsuccessful. We will attempt to update the TechConnect link between Spring and Summer semesters. Our Target date is May 25, 2023.

Pre-Summer 2023

Over the Summer break there will be an additional Zoom change. Our current LTi TechConnectZoom will be transitioned to Zoom. There are no actions needed on your part during this transition. After the name change, you will need to re-authorize your Zoom account to work with your Canvas setup. You are also encouraged to postpone setting up new standing meetings and classes for SU23 or FA23 until after the upgrade.
